Upper Tulse Hill — 9 Residential Flats Won at Planning Appeal | RPR Planning

Developer project

Upper Tulse Hill

Tulse Hill, London

RPR took over this scheme from an existing permission that was not viable for our client, who had purchased the site with planning consent already in place. At appeal, we secured an improved permission — adding a 9th flat on the upper floor and removing the awkward gabled roof from the original consent, making the scheme significantly more viable and architecturally cleaner.

An unviable consent made viable at appeal

Our client purchased the site with an existing planning permission that did not stack up financially. RPR appraised the scheme, identified the opportunity to improve it, and secured a new permission at planning appeal — adding a 9th flat on the upper floor and replacing the awkward gabled roof with a flat-roofed upper storey. The result was a cleaner, more contemporary building and a scheme that worked for the developer.
